THE MONTH OF AUGUST THAT WERE GONNA TELL YOU ABOUT AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM. TODAY SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT. WERE VISITING WITH PAUL OVERSON WHOS AN ENTREPRENEUR AND BUSINESSMAN IN LEXINGTON WHO RUNS A FORTUNE HIGHTECH MARKETING. WE WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT THAT AS WE GO ALONG HERE, AS WELL. MR. OVERSON, THOUGH, WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT PEOPLE TODAY LOOKING FOR SOMETTING DIFFERENT, THAT CAN BE JUST ABOUT ANYBODY, IT SOUNDS LIKE. A LOT OF FOLKS ARE LOOKING FOR CHANGING THEIR LIFE OR SOME OPPORTUNITIES. >> ABSOLUTELY. AND ESPECIALLY WHEN WE TALKED ABOUT IT EARLIER IN THESE MOMENTS WHEN A FEWEARS AGO A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE COMFORTABLE NOT EVERYBODY, CERTAINLY, BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE COMFORTABLE AND KIND OF SMUG IN WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND ARE LOOKING THAN PERHAPS EVER BEFORE. I CAME INTO THE INDUSTRY IM IN IN 1990. AND IF YOURE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THAT 90/91 RECESSION WHEN THE LONGTERM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT FAILED, THE BIG BANK FAILED, SAVINGS AND LOANS, CRIS AT THAT TIME AND HERE WE AR17, 19 YEARS LATER EXPERIENCING THOSE SAME THINGS, TALKING ABOUT THOSE LESSONS WE DONT LEARN. BUT IF PEOPLE ARE LOKING TODAY WHETHER ITS THE SCHOOL TEACHER NEXT DOOR, THE REGISTERED NURSE, THE PLUMBER, THE ATTORNEY OR THE PHYSICIAN, SOME ARE LOOKING A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR A BETTER WAY. SO IT WAS LONGDISTANCE BACK THEN, THE EXHALE COMPANY, AND MADE A LOT OF MONEY AT THAT AND I REMBER THOSE DAYS. THERE WAS SKEPTICISM CERTAINLY. AND IM SURE THAT IN YOUR LINE OF WORK, THERES ALWAYS A LOT OF SKEPTICISM IN TERMS USED, PYRAMID SCHEMES, THAT TYPE OF THING. >> AND WE WELL, WE HEAR THE WORD PYRAMID SCHEMES OR PONZI SCHEMES OR WHATEVER PEOPLE FLY IT, WHAT WE DO REALLY IS NETWORK MARKETING IN THE FACT THAT WE TAKE BIG BRAND NAME COMPAES, IS WHAT WE LIKE TO ASSOCIATE OURSELVES WITH AT FORTUNE HIGHTECH MARKETING, AND WE TE AND ABSOLUTELY MARKET THOSE PRODUCTS AND MANY PEOPLE GET PAID. SOMEBODY LIKES A DISH FOR EXAMPLE OR ANY NUMBER OF COMPIES THAT WE OPERATE WITH ON THE CELL PHONES, THEYRE NOT GONNA ASSOCIATE WITH THE COMPANIES THAT ARE ILLEGAL COMPANIES. FIRST OF ALL, PYRAMIDS ARE ILLEGAL, RIGHTFULLY SO. WEVE HEARD ABOUT BERNIE MADOFF AND HEARD THE NAMES OVER THE YEARS, PEOPLE TAKING YOUR MONEY AND PASSING IT OFF TO SOMEBODY ELSE. WE ACTUALLY MARKT LEGITMATE SERVICES WITH LEGITMATE OPERATING PROFIT MARGINS AND TAKE AND PAY THAT TO A REPRESENTATIVE BASE. >> DO YOU TOUCH THE PRODUCT GENERALLY AT YOURS HEADQUARTERS? >> NO SIR, WE DONT. THATS ANOTHER GOOD THING. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE BASICALLY STAYS WITH THE COMPANY, WHETHER ITS A VERIZON WIRELESS OR ATT OR WHETHER ITS ONE OF THE HIGH SPEEDS WEVE COME OUT WITH THE MAJOR CARIERS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, 18 OF THEM NATIONWIDE, WHETHER ITS THE DISH NETWORK TV, BUT THEY STILL CONTINUE THOSE COMPANIES DO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THOSE COMPANIES DO THE BILLING. YOU REALLY DONT HAVE TO HAVE THE TRUST. YOU REFER TO THE XCEL DAYS. BACK IN THOSE DAYS YOU HAD TO TRUST THAT XCEL WAS GOING TO PROVIDE YOUR SERVICE, YOU HAD TO TRUST THAT WHEN YOU PICKED UP YOUR PHONE IT WAS GOING TO WORK AND HAD TO TRUST THAT THEIR BILLING WAS CORECT. TODAY WEVE TRIID TO TAKE SOME OF THAT REQUIREMENT OUT OF IT. DOOU SPEND YOUR TIME GETTING COMPANIES ON BOARD OR GETTING PEOPLE ON BOARD DIDNT. >> NO, SIR. I DONT. I LIKE TO DEAL WITH OUR REPRESENTATIVE BASE TOMMY MILLS HELPED ME GET THIS COMPANY STARTED. WE TOGETHER BEGAN THE COMPANIN 2000 AND STARTED STAFFING IT THEN. BEGAN OPERATIONS 2001. JOHN JOHNSON IS THE PERSON YOU REFERRED TO. MY SON JEFF IS AN INCIDENT GALLON PART, DAVID MILLS. OUR REPRESENTATIVES WITH HE PAY TENSE AND TENSE AND TENS OF THOUSANDS OF REPRESENTATIVES A MONTH TO DATE AND SO OBVIOUSLY PAUL WORTHINGSON, WHO JUST TOLD YOU HE CANT TWITTER OR TURN A COMPUTER ON, DONT HAT. SO WE OBVIOUSLY HAVE A LOT OF HELP THERE AT HE COMPANY AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE TECHNOLOGY BACKGROUNDS AND LAW BACKGROUNDS AND SOME GREAT ATORNEYS, SOME PEOPLE ACROSS THE BOARD NEVER DEPARTMENT. IM PROUD OF OUR PEOPLE THERE. >> ARE THERE PEOPLE MAKING A LOT OF MONEY? >> IN OUR COMPANY, YES, AND EVEN MORE SO OUT IN THE FIELD. ACTUALLY SOME OF OUR PEOPLE IN THE COMPANY PROBABLY LOOK AT WHAT SOME OF THE PEOPLE ARE MAKING AND THINK I NEED TO GET OUT IN THE FIELD AND GET OUT OF THIS HOME OFICE. BUT WE HAVE PEOPLE MAKING A LOT OF MONEY IF. I THINK ITS A MATTER WHEN WE HAVE SOMEBODY DOING THAT. >> ARE THERE THOSE WHO GET INVOLVED AND SAY ITS NOT FOR THEM? >> ABSOLUTELY. JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELS. I MEAN, WHEN I STARTED TEACHING SCHOOL? 1979, NOT EVERYBODY ELSE STARTED TEACHING SCHOOLING. I MEAN, ALONG THE WAY IF WE START OUT IN NEWS, START OUT IN INSURANCE SALES, WE STT OUT AS A PASTOR. WE MAY START OUT AT POLITICIANS. WE MAY START OUTS WHATEVER WE STAROUT IN, AND NOT EVERYBODYS GONNA FINISH THAT RACE. >> YOUR HEADQUARTERS AGAIN IN LEXINGTON. HAVE YOU SOME EMPLOYEES HERE AND IN, WHAT, A COUPLE THREE OFFICES? I THINK YOU SAID YOURE BUILDING A NEW FACILITY. >> ABSOLUTELY. WERE GONNA BE MOVING WITHIN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS, 13, 14 MONTHS. WEVE GOT PLANS FOR BUILDING. AND WERE EXCITED ABOUT THAT. AND HERE IN LEXINGTON AND WE ALREADY HAVE A DISTRIBUTION CENTER THAT TOMMYS BEEN WORKING ON AND I KNOW DAVIDS ALREADY WORKING THERE FOR DISTRIBUTION

the month of august that were gonna tell you about at the end of the program. today something a little different. were visiting with paul overson whos an entrepreneur and businessman in lexington who runs a fortune hightech marketing. we want to learn something about that as we go along here, as well. mr. overson, though, when you talk about people today looking for sometting different, that can be just about anybody, it sounds like. a lot of folks are looking for changing their life or some opportunities. >> absolutely. and especially when we talked about it earlier in these moments when a fewears ago a lot of people were comfortable not everybody, certainly, but a lot of people were comfortable and kind of smug in what they were doing and are looking than perhaps ever before. i came into the industry im in in 1990. and if youre old enough to remember that 90/91 recession when the longterm capital management failed, the big bank failed, savings and loans, cris at that time and here we ar17, 19 years later experiencing those same things, talking about those lessons we dont learn. but if people are loking today whether its the school teacher next door, the registered nurse, the plumber, the attorney or the physician, some are looking a lot of people are looking for a better way. so it was longdistance back then, the exhale company, and made a lot of money at that and i rember those days. there was skepticism certainly. and im sure that in your line of work, theres always a lot of skepticism in terms used, pyramid schemes, that type of thing. >> and we well, we hear the word pyramid schemes or ponzi schemes or whatever people fly it, what we do really is network marketing in the fact that we take big brand name compaes, is what we like to associate ourselves with at fortune hightech marketing, and we te and absolutely market those products and many people get paid. somebody likes a dish for example or any number of compies that we operate with on the cell phones, theyre not gonna associate with the companies that are illegal companies. first of all, pyramids are illegal, rightfully so. weve heard about bernie madoff and heard the names over the years, people taking your money and passing it off to somebody else. we actually markt legitmate services with legitmate operating profit margins and take and pay that to a representative base. >> do you touch the product generally at yours headquarters? >> no sir, we dont. thats another good thing. your customer service basically stays with the company, whether its a verizon wireless or att or whether its one of the high speeds weve come out with the major cariers throughout the country, 18 of them nationwide, whether its the dish network tv, but they still continue those companies do the customer service, those companies do the billing. you really dont have to have the trust. you refer to the xcel days. back in those days you had to trust that xcel was going to provide your service, you had to trust that when you picked up your phone it was going to work and had to trust that their billing was corect. today weve triid to take some of that requirement out of it. doou spend your time getting companies on board or getting people on board didnt. >> no, sir. i dont. i like to deal with our representative base tommy mills helped me get this company started. we together began the companin 2000 and started staffing it then. began operations 2001. john johnson is the person you referred to. my son jeff is an incident gallon part, david mills. our representatives with he pay tense and tense and tens of thousands of representatives a month to date and so obviously paul worthingson, who just told you he cant twitter or turn a computer on, dont hat. so we obviously have a lot of help there at he company and people who have technology backgrounds and law backgrounds and some great atorneys, some people across the board never department. im proud of our people there. >> are there people making a lot of money? >> in our company, yes, and even more so out in the field. actually some of our people in the company probably look at what some of the people are making and think i need to get out in the field and get out of this home ofice. but we have people making a lot of money if. i think its a matter when we have somebody doing that. >> are there those who get involved and say its not for them? >> absolutely. just like anything els. i mean, when i started teaching school? 1979, not everybody else started teaching schooling. i mean, along the way if we start out in news, start out in insurance sales, we stt out as a pastor. we may start out at politicians. we may start outs whatever we starout in, and not everybodys gonna finish that race. >> your headquarters again in lexington. have you some employees here and in, what, a couple three offices? i think you said youre building a new facility. >> absolutely. were gonna be moving within the next 12 months, 13, 14 months. weve got plans for building. and were excited about that. and here in lexington and we already have a distribution center that tommys been working on and i know davids already working there for distribution
